Description
A green wall is a vertical built structure intentionally covered with plants, supported by a growth medium such as soil, hydroponic systems, or substitute substrates, and often integrated with irrigation and nutrient delivery systems. Unlike green facades, where plants climb from the ground, green walls have the growth medium directly on the wall, allowing a wider variety of plant species to thrive.
Benefits
• Environmental: Improve air quality by filtering pollutants, reduce urban heat island effects, and support biodiversity.
• Aesthetic and Biophilic: Transform blank walls into vibrant, natural displays, enhancing visual appeal and promoting a connection to nature.
• Functional: Provide noise reduction, indoor humidity regulation, and energy efficiency by insulating buildings.
• Well-being: Reduce stress, improve productivity, and create healthier indoor environments
